For Farmers, By Farmers

The traditions of rural farming communities live on each year at county fairs. In honor of those traditions, AVECC donated a custom t-shirt to each 4-H and FFA livestock exhibitor at the North Logan County Fair in Paris for this year's event. Congratulations to all exhibitors at the Logan County Fair!

CAJUN COOKIN' WITH CLAY

The Co-op Cookin' Show

Are you in the mood for a warm and savory meal to feed your whole family this fall? Join Barbara, Emily, and special guest star Clay Crowley as they travel to Waldron and prepare Clay's famous jambalaya!

The Co-op Cookin' Show's mission is to honor our rural roots, spotlight recipes published in Arkansas Living Magazine through the decades, and introduce the co-op family to you.

Be sure and stick around until the end for a few special appearances from co-op coworkers as they came to check out what was cooking on the dock!

Employee Spotlight

EMILY STATON

Multimedia Assistant | 8 months

"My journey with the cooperative started during my junior year of high school when I represented AVECC on Youth Tour. Since then, I've interned as a member service representative and multimedia intern while pursuing my Business Marketing degree at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. In January, simultaneously with graduating with my bachelor's degree, I transitioned into my current role as the Multimedia Assistant.

My position involves curating content for our social media, monthly newsletter, and print publications. I also attend community events and assist with community programs like Youth Tour, Teacher Appreciation, and Student-Athlete of the Week.

My favorite part about working at AVECC is the sense of community and closeness that comes with serving the rural River Valley. It is immensely gratifying to witness firsthand the positive impact that my employer has on the communities that I hold near and dear to my heart."
