The Standing Committee has announced a slate of four candidates for the ninth Bishop of the Diocese of West Missouri. The election will be held on Saturday, November 9. The next bishop will succeed The Right Reverend Diane M. Jardine Bruce, Bishop Provisional.
The candidates in alphabetical order are:
- The Rev. Jimmy Abbott, Rector, Trinity Episcopal Church, Galveston, TX
- The Very Rev. Amy Dafler Meaux, Dean and Rector, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Little Rock, AR
- The Rev. Dr. Bradley Pace, Rector, St. John’s Episcopal Church, Lafayette, IN
- The Rev. Molly Payne-Hardin, Rector, Trinity Episcopal Church, Watertown, NY

Members of the diocese are invited to meet the candidates during a “meet and greet” (called WESTMODIOlogues) to be held at churches across the diocese during the week of September 16, 2024. These gatherings will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person. All gatherings will start at 6:00 pm with a light meal followed by discussions at 7:00 pm.
