Combine the Jump$tart Teen Teach-In with the DECA Financial Literacy Project

Is your chapter participating in the Financial Literacy Project? Looking for ready-to-go resources? The Jump$tart Teen Teach-In is a series of events in October that are held across the country where high school teachers take their students into local elementary schools to teach an age-appropriate personal finance lesson to their younger counterparts. We'd love to have you join us!

Teen Teach-Ins are a great way for high school students to demonstrate what they’ve learned in their personal finance classes to their younger peers, while drawing attention to the need for effective financial education in our nation’s classrooms. Plus, this is a great activity as part of your chapter’s DECA Financial Literacy Project.

Financial Literacy Project

The Financial Literacy Project is one of DECA's Project Management Events that uses the project management process to promote the importance of financial literacy.

One way DECA members can demonstrate the importance of financial literacy is by organizing and implementing seminars for elementary school students, which ties directly into the Teen Teach-In program.
