Open House 2024

Thank you to all our amazing teachers and staff for their hard work preparing for Open House 2024! We hope our RB parents and guardians enjoyed seeing what a day in the life of an RB student is like! Parents and Guardians, please take this short Open House survey so we can learn what went well during Open House and how we can improve for next year.

First Day of Dual Enrollment Classes

On Monday, RB students had their first day of Dual Enrollment classes at Triton College! In the Dual Enrollment program, high school students can earn both high school and college credit by taking certain courses on Triton’s campus. RBHS District 208 covers tuition costs and provides bus transportation for students enrolled. This year, sixteen RB students are enrolled in Engineering Technology / Welding, Nursing Assistant (CNA), Criminal Justice, or Emergency Medical Technician classes at Triton. RB is grateful to continue offering our students early college opportunities.

Digital Design / Graphic Arts Classroom Spotlight

Students in Mrs. Sarkady’s Digital Design / Graphic Arts classes practiced their Adobe Illustrator skills by creating animals using only shapes as part of their Elements of Design lessons. Digital Design / Graphic Arts is an RB dual credit course where students can earn high school and college credit simultaneously. This course corresponds to the Triton College course, Introduction to Illustrator, and students can apply the credit earned in this course at Triton or any college/university where the credits transfer over. Our partnership with Triton College has allowed us to provide many early college opportunities for our students.
