The 2024 Casino Royale was one for the ages! Not only did we have an unforgettable evening filled with more than 100 different prizes, reverse raffle winners, a thrilling horse race, amazing music from The Tim & Liz Show, but we also celebrated a milestone: our largest turnout ever with an incredible 480 attendees!

A massive thank you to all of our major event sponsors, attendees, volunteers, and the incredible staff at Heidelberg University and Parkhurst Dining at Heidelberg for all of their help in making this event such a huge success. We can't wait to see you all again next year! For more pictures of the event, click here.

Gillmor Charitable Foundation Donates to Old Fort Church Backpack Program

The Gillmor Charitable Foundation recently donated $3500 to the Old Fort Church Backpack Program. This program was started to fill a void with children that attend Old Fort Elementary by providing basic, nutritious and easy to prepare food items. Each year this program serves over sixty students.

"We can’t thank the Gillmor Foundation enough for prioritizing the health and wellbeing of the students at our local school. Your donation is an investment in their growth, learning and future success. It also provides much-needed relief to the families struggling with food insecurity," stated Lindsay Sooy, of the Old Fort Church.

We are pleased to support Old Fort Church Backpack Program. "We continue to be firm believers in the power of philanthropy, and what it does for the health of the communities we serve. In a mutually beneficial relationship, we thrive when those communities are healthy, secure and prosperous," said Old Fort Banking Company President and CEO Michael C. Spragg. Learn more here.

Welcome new member, Fostoria Rail Preservation Society!

The Fostoria Rail Preservation Society (FRPS) became a non-profit in 2006. Their mission is to preserve, promote, and educate about Fostoria's importance in railroad history - past, present, and future. Railfans have traveled to Fostoria to watch the 80+ trains that travel through their Iron Triangle. Fostoria has three double-track mainline railroad tracks that cross each other, all within a half-mile area. Fostoria's concentration of railroads is exciting for railfans as they can view many trains.

FRPS hosts many events at their LE&W Depot, which was built in 1878. Their events include monthly meetings, Santa at the Depot, Santa Wine & Cheese, and more. They also have a Rail Festival on the fourth Saturday in September at the Fostoria High and Elementary Schools; this year will be their 22nd annual event. They draw vendors and attendees from 16 states for their one-day train show. If you like trains, you will like Fostoria.

The Fostoria Rail Preservation Society (LE&W Depot) is located at 128 W North St. For more information and to stay up-to-date on their events, be sure to like them on Facebook and visit their website at fostoriairontriangle.com.
