Happy charging towards Solstice everyone!

This can be a great time to reflect and recharge, or it can be a time of stress and seemingly overwhelming commitments. There are some simple things we can do to shift from the latter to the former, like connecting with family and friends, taking a walk, or a deep breath, or expressing gratitude can all help shift us to a better state. It’s how we perceive events that make them stressful or enjoyable, opening that awareness can help.

After we negotiate the holidays, it's a good time to nurture the body and build some resilience for the winter ahead. I have been leading cleanses for 15 years and I keep doing them for a reason – it improves the health and resilience of my patients and for me as well. I know this from the symptom survey forms I have each participant complete – the results are overwhelmingly positive. From gut issues to skin issues, to sleep, to aches and pains – people experience real change and pick up real habits that last!

A cleanse isn’t simple, it requires some ‘limbic grit’, but the rewards are worth it. For more info read on.

“All disease begins in the gut” is a quote attributed to Hippocrates. Turns out he wasn’t wrong. Everything from gut issues like heartburn, bloating, constipation and diarrhea to systemic issues such as inflammation, joint pain, and heart disease to psychological issues such as depression and anxiety, can all be linked to the gut. Learn the connection between our microbiome, our health, our diets, and a western lifestyle while participating in this 3-week cleanse, based largely on the work of Dr. Alejandro Junger and his book, Clean.

My yearly cleanse, a 3-week, 4 session cleanse and class, will meet weekly via Zoom from 6-7 pm starting Tuesday, January 9th ending Tuesday January 30th. Learn the difference between a cleanse and a diet, while leveraging the power of community to achieve your goal(s)! We will do cleanse and learn some simple things you can do to leverage a healthier gut, leading to a healthier you.

This cleanse utilizes a four-pronged approach to maximize gut health, an elimination diet, 2 liquid meals per day, intermittent fasting, and a supplement protocol. This is a very well-designed program that gives our bodies the opportunity to renew and replenish. I strongly recommend this for anyone seeking to improve their gut health or to optimize their health. I consider this an important part of my own personal healthcare.

Cost of the class is $140. Suggested supplements and the meal replacements are an additional $220. If you are interested in the class, you can sign up here.

Above is a image of my nervous system on a cleanse.

This is from AI regarding HRV as a biomarker; Heart rate variability (HRV) serves as a crucial biomarker, indicating the fluctuation in time intervals between heartbeats. This dynamic metric reflects autonomic nervous system activity, providing insights into cardiovascular health, stress resilience, and overall well-being. HRV analysis is increasingly utilized across medical, fitness, and stress management domains for holistic health assessments. This is a look at my HRV over an 8 month period.

January is when I do the cleanse!

Be well,

Chris
