CancerCare for Kids Provides Children and Teens With School Supplies

In the seventh year of its Back-to-School Program, CancerCare for Kids provided school supplies for 166 students impacted by cancer in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. These kids, from pre-K to high school, received backpacks stuffed with books, calculators, notebooks, pens, pencils, art supplies and more. Made possible by the generosity of our donors, these gifts help families focus their energies and resources on treatment and caring for each other.
CancerCare Offers New Videos for Newcomers to Immunotherapy

Cancer treatment is a constantly evolving field, including new breakthroughs in immunotherapy, which uses the body's own immune system to find, slow or even destroy cancer cells. Since immunotherapy will likely be new to many, we have created easy-to-understand videos in both English and Spanish that explain the concept and potential side effects when one is undergoing such treatment. The future of immunotherapy is very promising and we are excited to provide support and information as the possibilities grow.
