Dear Classmates,

Did you know: We will celebrate our 65th reunion this year?

Did you know: The College was originally named NJC (New Jersey College for Women)?

Did you know: The name was changed in May, 1955. and that in September we were the very first class to enter the newly named Douglass College?

Did you know: Our class was the first to spend four years at Douglass College and that we, the Class of 1959, were the first class to graduate from Douglass College after spending four years there?

                              And,

Did you know: The AADC Alumnae Reunion Weekend 2024 will take place on June 7 and 8?

We hope to see you all back on campus for this exciting celebration. We know that many of you have moved away from N.J., and that many of you travel less than previously. But, imagine, it’s 65 years since we graduated, and think how nice it would be to get together with other classmates. Please try to come!!

The Reunion Planning Committee has worked hard to plan many interesting and exciting programs and activities throughout the weekend. One highlight is the traditional Vanguard Luncheon on Friday, as well as the Milestone Classes Processional, where we will have an opportunity to deepen our connections with each other and celebrate all alumnae, especially those like us in milestone Reunion classes. Please visit our website at www.douglassalumnae.org/events/aadc-reunion-weekend-2024/ for the Reunion Schedule of Events to use as a guide for online registration, also listed on the website. Register early, as events will sell out quickly.

Please vote for classmates to represent us as Class Officers for the 2024-2029 term, via this online ballot: (LINK) Please return your ballotby Friday, May 17, 2024.

Missing Classmates –We could use your help to find any of our missing classmates. Please click here, and help us locate these alumnae sisters and share our excitement with them about our upcoming and spectacular Reunion. If you can provide any information about these classmates, please contact me, at LoisRS7@gmail.com

If you have already made a gift to the Associate Alumnae of Douglass College (AADC) Annual Appeal, thank you! Won’t you please consider a donation? Your generosity and that of our classmates enable the AADC to provide services to all alumnae. Please see the note, below for more information.

Remember to follow the AADC on Social Media and to check the AADC website for the latest in AADC Alumnae Reunion Weekend News and Updates. On behalf of all our 1959 Class Officers, we are excited to celebrate sisterhood with you on Friday, June 7 – Saturday, June 8 for the AADC Alumnae Reunion Weekend 2024.

We look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you at Reunion! On behalf of all the Class Officers, and in Sisterhood,

Sincerely,

Lois Rabinowitz Steinberg

President
