Government Affairs Committee Launches 2024 Year
The Southbelt-Ellington Chamber of Commerce had an exceptional turnout at the initial Government Affairs Committee meeting, ushering in 2024.

The meeting was attended by local, state, and federal elected officials or their representatives, community advocates, the South Belt-Ellington Chamber of Commerce, and the Clear Brook City MUD board and staff.

We are thrilled with the engagement of our legislative bodies and remain committed to enhancing our community.

Attends AMOCO Federal Credit Union
Chamber Appreciation Luncheon
AMOCO Federal Credit Union hosted its Annual Chambers of Commerce/Economic Development Appreciation Luncheon for each organization's staff and chief volunteer leaders on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

This marks the 19th year the credit union has organized this event to show appreciation for the organizations that actively engage with AMOCO.

Nine of the twelve chambers, including South Belt - Ellington Chamber of Commerce, Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, and Bay Area Houston Transportation Partnership, enjoyed a delicious meal at Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse and heard remarks by Gail Figueroa, Chief Operating Officer, who provided a brief synopsis on AMOCO's accomplishments during 2023 and plans for the future.

Kevin Venable, AMOCO's Community Development Manager, defines partnership as people who care about, support, and provide value to others.

Let's Tickle the Ivories
Join us at the Hope Village Event Center, 15403 Hope Village Drive in Friendswood, on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. for the South Belt-Ellington Chamber of Commerce's annual gala, Let's Tickle the Ivories!

We are honored the newly-elected Houston Mayor, the Honorable John Whitmire, will be our program speaker.

After the program, get ready to be entertained with a two-hour dueling pianos performance presented by Two Tones Dueling Piano Bar. The performance will feature a rich blend of 70s, 80s, and 90s music.

MOTU Stop Will Host Five-Chamber Ribbon Cutting
MOTU Stop, the newest Gold Level Investor of the South Belt-Ellington Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a five-chamber ribbon-cutting event on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m.

There will be incredible prizes to be won, delicious free food to be enjoyed, and regular gasoline will be priced at just $1.00 per gallon during the event. Yes, you read that right!

Mobile Outreach Office Hours
Constituents of Congressman Brian Babin may come to the South Belt-Ellington Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. to speak directly with congressional staff to answer questions, address concerns, and assist with federal agency matters.
