Road Safety Champion Training


Coming Up Online: Take Action Now – Maintaining Safety

January 30th, 8–10am PT (FREE)


NCRRS released its latest training schedule for their Road Safety Champion Program (RSCP), a nationally recognized certificate program designed to build a knowledgeable, safety minded workforce who operate, maintain, and design local roads. RSCP is open to anyone from transportation, public health, and law enforcement who have an interest in roadway safety.


Starting in January, NCRRS is hosting a series of online classes that cover many of RSCP's career-focused modules. Each 2-hour session is free to attend and completion goes towards your becoming RSCP-certified.

Bridge Investment Program NOFO


FHWA is accepting applications for $9.7B in multi-year funding to improve the nation’s bridges under its Bridge Investment Program “Planning” and “Bridge Project” categories, which fund projects under $100M.


Applications are handled through Grants.gov now through February 19th for Planning grants and/or March 19th for Bridge Project grants.

Caltrans Local Assistance Day

Caltrans DLA invites you to join its Local Assistance Day statewide webinar this February 27th, a quarterly event meant to inform RTPAs, MPOs, local agencies, and other interested transportation parties.


Local Assistance Day subjects cover information sharing, local project delivery policies, processes, procedures, and facilitating peer-sharing of best practices.

California Traffic Safety Grants

 

The California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) is now accepting applications for projects that seek to prevent serious injury and death resulting from motor vehicle crashes. Applications should relate to an OTS priority area.

 

These grants are available for public entities and local governments. Check out the Grant Program Manual for more information on eligibility and/or watch the recorded OTS webinar about applying for FY2024 funding.
