The Township has been awarded a DCNR grant in the amount of $125,400 to support the purchase of 1925 French Creek Road (Resolution No. 17-2022 ). This latest grant brings the total of grants awarded to the Township this year to $725,400.
Additional grants awarded to the Township this year include:
- $250,000 from DCNR and $250,000 from Chester County for improvements to Opalanie Park which include several additional trails for pedestrians and horses, one or two pavilions, a tot lot, and a handicapped accessible fishing pier at the pond.
- $100,000 from Chester County for stormwater improvements on Kimberton Road
The Master Trail Plan has been approved by the Board of Supervisors in the Sept 19 Meeting. The Master Trail Plan includes identifying access and linkages between township trails and county trails, planning and blazing the trails, and identifying all West Vincent trails currently in place.
Also, our Public Works Department accepted delivery of a new dump truck purchased last year, held up because of extended supply chain delays.
