The salad bar offers many vegetarian and gluten-free options. A protein is served every other week and alternates between steak and chicken .

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Last week we heard from Jay Stowe, Managing Director and CEO of JEA. He gave us some insight on why the rising cost was so drastic in the last few months, due to fuel surcharges. He also took many questions from the members. Most notably was the update on Plant Vogle units 3 & 4. Once completed and online JEA will be getting 10% of its power from nuclear vs 0% now. However, the project has gone through many delays and cost overruns and a clear finish date is unknown.

NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION

This Wednesday, October 26, we will be hosting a New Member Orientation. For those of you who have joined our Club, but have not yet gone through orientation and been officially inducted, please join Tim Buchanan at 11:15am at Fogo De Chao prior to our regular luncheon.

MEET A MEMBER

Join us for a Meet A Member at Standard Feed & Seed, hosted by owner Frank Wallmeyer on November 3 from 5pm until 7:30pm. The cost is only $10 per person and ALL of the money will be donated to the Kid's Christmas Shopping Spree! There will also be a Chicken Poop Bingo game for a small fee where half of the proceeds go to the winner and half to the shopping spree. Don't miss your chance to be a part of this great cause!

VETERAN'S DAY VOLUNTEERS

We are now looking for volunteers to work on our annual Veteran's Day Float for the Downtown Parade. Also, if you are a Veteran and are interested in riding on the float, there are spots available!

CHRISTMAS KIDS SHOPPING SPREE

Please join us for our annual Christmas Kids Shopping spree providing gifts for children who may not have a home for Santa to visit. This great event is one of our most heartwarming all year where we take approximately 30 kids Christmas Shopping with $150 to spend on each. Target brings us in prior to opening to secure the building and present a safe environment where SBMC Members help brighten their holiday.

Please help us make this holiday special and sponsor a child or two for $150 each.

We will meet on December 3 at 6am at the Target on San Jose and will need volunteers to help the kids with their shopping!
