FINAL THOUGHTS

Dear friends,

Time travels too fast and I cannot catch-up to this time to say farewell. I say farewell because this is not “good-bye”. Debbie and I plan to return when the time is right and we can once again return home to our wonderful parish family. It is far easier to use other’s well-crafted words than I could ever write. I find the words in the poems Dear Friend by Grinnell Willis and For This One Hour by William Arthur Ward.

So, I make this farewell for only the time we must be away and know that in our absence love and prayer continue for all the journeys ahead both for thee and me.

So, dear friends, let me part with my favorite benediction:

May the road rise to meet you

May the wind be at your back

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

The rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Godspeed, Fr. David +
