HISD ZERO WASTE PROGRAM

DEFINING SUSTAINABILITY FOR OUR SCHOOL

Campus Mapping

Utilize a place-based approach to field trips! Teachers can lead students in an on-campus field trip allowing students to explore and learn about classroom systems without leaving the school premises. Consider leading students to:

  • map their classroom or school for sustainable practices
  • offer a scaled-down representation of a geographical or historical location

Stay tuned for our upcoming newsletters where we'll share more guidance on leading your students in on-campus waste audits and beautification activities!
