SAINT MARK'S MISSION, MINISTRY & OUTREACH

This Sunday: Feast of All Saints & Bishop Hunn Visit (Bring a Pie!)

Our All Saints' Ofrenda looks absolutely stunning! Read Fr. Christopher's Ruminations on All Saints' Day and El Dia de los Muertos here.

Lots of moving parts this Sunday:

  • It is optional, but you may want to keep in mind while picking out your attire for All Saints' Day: The festival colors for All Saints are white and gold.

  • All youth (infant through high school) are invited to participate in the Parade of Saints at the 9:30 Eucharist on Sunday, November 5. Arrive a few minutes before 9:30 and select a saint placard to carry as we walk around the sanctuary during the Litany of the Saints. Families are encouraged to walk in the parade together.

  • Bishop Michael Hunn, of the Diocese of the Rio Grande, will visit St. Mark's during our All Saints' Day liturgy on Sunday, November 5th, 2023.

  • There will be a Pie Reception following the liturgy. Please bring a savory-or-sweet pie to share. The Bishop will then hold a Congregational Q-and-A.

Gathering of the Greens

Saturday, November 25th, at Heather Gaume's Mountain Retreat, from 10-2. Everyone is invited to our annual Green Gathering Get-Together. We will work together to collect greens required for assembling Advent Wreaths on Sunday, November 26th, just after worship. There will also be a fellowship potluck lunch with plenty of wide-open spaces for our young people to explore. All ages are welcome. Dress warmly, as much of this will take place outdoors.  Please RSVP to Heather via email.

Click here for instructions on how to get Heather's place (please note that if you plug in her address into Google Maps, you'll wind up in Rio Rancho...wrong way!).

Important note regarding weather: If there is snow on Forest Road 333, you will need 4-wheel drive to make to the Piedra Lisa parking lot where Heather will come and pick up folks. If there is more than 3 inches of snow, we will cancel. There will be an email sent to the parish if we cancel this event, so please watch your inbox.
