Atlantic Housing Service Project in West Dallas

Bitter cold and rain couldn’t keep these dedicated Atlantic Housing team members from their passion for service! Twenty-five Atlantic Housing employees from both corporate and on-site teams joined together to help out at the West Dallas Multipurpose Center. The Center provides social services and space for nonprofits to use to meet the needs of the surrounding neighborhoods.

The group cleaned and organized the kitchen and children's area, improved nonprofit work stations, potted plants for an upcoming event, cleaned out community garden beds, and put together hygiene care packages. Special thanks to Manager Ashley Hutto for hosting our enthusiastic volunteers. We hope the tasks accomplished by the Atlantic Housing team will help the Center staff as they continue providing valuable services to the West Dallas community.

Many Ways to Serve

The Quail Ridge Apartments staff partnered with First Mission Church to start a Community Food Pantry in the Fort Worth, Texas area. Every Friday from 5-6pm residents are welcome to choose from their pantry cubicle area and can swap items as well.

Over the holidays, Quail Ridge also participated in the Angel Tree program. Community Manager Sebera Roman said, "We had a huge turnout for this event! We couldn't have done it without our sponsors -- huge shout out to West Meadowbrook Associations and Tanglewood Moms, Officer Chavez from the Fort Worth Police Department, and vendors like Alex Carpet Clean, Dixie Carpets, Capital Tow, and Impact Floors. With their help we were able to gift 81 'Angels' with toys and clothes."

The student housing team at Westfield apartments in San Marcos, Texas hosted resident events every day for the first week of spring semester classes. They gave out school supplies and information about Atlantic Housing Foundation's scholarship program.

The Covington Creek Apartments staff provided breakfast on the go for their residents. They served breakfast burritos, coffee, donuts, and orange juice. They also hosted Dallas Catholic Charities Food Pantry and were able to help more than 80 families from the Irving, Texas community.
