Yet again, in what feels like the blink of an eye, another year draws to a close. 2023 has been a momentous year for all sorts of reasons. From our 501(c)3 assuming responsibility for school operations in January, to the catastrophic July floods and Kate's well deserved retirement at the end of December, the ground has figuratively (and literally) shifted beneath our little hill in Vermont. Regardless of what comes our way, you, the Marshfield community near and far, remain a continual source of strength and inspiration. This globally scattered family is the result of years of relationships built by Norman, Kate, and everyone who has worked with them along the way. For decades they have poured themselves out to fill this place up, and I am indescribably humbled and grateful to be a part of their legacy. I hope you'll join me in thanking Kate for all of her hard work, and help us to pick up where she is leaving off.

We have many exciting new programs in the works for 2024 and you'll hear from us soon about those. Or, if you can't handle the suspense, you can take a peek at our nearly complete class line-up over at the website. I'm thrilled by the range of historic and contemporary focussed offerings next year, all united by the traditional tools and techniques we hold so dear. Stay tuned.

Also new, just in time for the holiday season, are Gift Certificates! You asked and we listened, and now it's easier than ever to give the gift of a program at Marshfield. Click the link, select any monetary amount, enter your recipient's info, choose a delivery date, and your lucky someone will be able to sign up for any program of their choosing, whenever they're ready. Gift Certificates never expire and residual value may be applied towards any of our classes.

As ever, I would be remiss not to remind you that the Marshfield School of Weaving is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that depends on your generous support. It takes an awful lot to keep the lights on behind the scenes and gifts of all sizes, big and small, make a tremendous impact. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law, and may be made online, or by mail to:

Marshfield School of Weaving

PO Box 174

On behalf of Dosia and our dedicated Board of Directors, thank you. We'll see you in the new year.
