MDF Pilot Grant Update, Pt. 3


Daniel Paredes, Ph.D. is a Research Assistant Professor at the Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging at the University of Denver.

In 2020, Dr. Paredes was the first recipient of a Movement Disorders Foundation Pilot Grant to advance the development of new therapeutic approaches to target neuroplasticity and regeneration in aging and neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and Huntington's diseases.


In the third and final installment of this series, Dr. Paredes explains the challenges in diagnosing Parkinson's disease early and the critical importance in doing so. Click the video above to hear Dr. Paredes.

Treasurer of the Board of Directors Morris Susman, MD


Dr. Morris Susman, a Denver native and a graduate of East High School, attended Harvard College and the University of Colorado School of Medicine. His surgical residency was at the University of Michigan Hospital followed by the Harvard orthopedic residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital.
