Last Chance to Order your Wrapping Paper

Wrapping paper fundraiser

Tomorrow, Monday, October 30, is the last day to order wrapping paper for the holidays. This quality gift wrap comes in a wide variety of colors, styles, and designs. Select wrapping paper for almost every occasion: Christmas, Chanukah, birthdays, and… “just because!” The wrapping papers are made in the USA using earth-friendly inks. Rolls are 24" wide and 18' long. Rolls will be available for pickup the week before Thanksgiving. This is a fundraiser for our Grad Night Celebration to help lower the ticket price for all Grads.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts - Coming Soon!

If you didn't have a good excuse to get some Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts before, you do now! What better way to celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving than with DOUGHNUTS!


You're invited to take part in the most delicious and perfectly glazed fundraiser of the year. RHS PTSA has partnered with Krispy Kreme for a Digital Dozens fundraising campaign.


It's super simple: get your Krispy Kreme Digital Dozens (until Monday, November 27) and support RHS PTSA at the same time. Purchase a dozen (or two or three) original glazed doughnuts and 50% of your order will be donated back to the RHS PTSA 2024 Grad Night Celebration.


All you have to do is buy your dozens online, visit a Krispy Kreme near you and redeem your code. This fundraiser is nation-wide, so feel free to tell your family and friends across the US!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Mid-Year Financial Review - Help Needed

No experience required! PTSA needs three or more current RHS PTSA members to review our financial documents using a checklist provided by WA State PTA. This is done to provide transparency in our organization and to identify areas of improvement. Time commitment is 2+ hours in January or February, at a date/time set by members of the committee. Email Peggy and Sameer at treasurer@redmondhsptsa.org to volunteer or for more information.

COLLEGE & CAREER CENTER

ASVAB Testing

Wednesday, November 1, 8:30-11:30am in the Library. Check in begins at 8am. 


The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success. It is offered to high school and post-secondary students as part of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program at no cost to the student. More information about the ASVAB can be found here.


Current minimum scores for each branch of the military are: Air Force—31; Army—31; Coast Guard—40; Marine Corps—31; National Guard—31; Navy—31.


Post Test Interpretations (PTI) will be on Thursday, November 30, 9:55-10:40am in the College and Career Center (CCC). Question regarding the ASVAB or PTI? Email Ms. Wu at rwu@lwsd.org

November Parent Chat: Tech-Savvy Teens

Balance in Mind is a Lake Washington Schools Foundation program that works with community partners to raise awareness about emotional and mental health challenges facing our youth, to empower parents, and to build communities where our kids grow up healthy, resilient, and equipped for life.

 

Wednesday, November 1 from 7-8 pm, over Zoom.


In the age of technology, it's important that your teen learns how to be savvy when it comes to internet consumption and usage. This talk is geared towards parents, but feel free to have your teens watch too!

Pantry Packs Thanksgiving Food Drive

The Pantry Packs Program is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive!


You can help feed hungry students in our community through one of two ways:



  • Drop off your food donations on Tuesday, November 14 from 2-4pm or Wednesday, November 15 from 11:30am-1:30pm, at the Pantry Packs Warehouse located at 14816 NE 95th St., Bldg. 6, Redmond WA.
