Catch our very own students as they portray a variety of culturally related themed roles in this aerial theatrical production.
About this Show: Callie Geoff, an inventor, living in Victorian Britain and her loyal protégé, Evyn Gordon accepts a challenge to travel around the world with restrictive conditions set forth by her professional adversary, Landon Evans, the current director of the London Academy of Science. As a reward, Landon vows to surrender his position for Callie to take over, if Callie successfully accomplishes the mission. Utilizing a variety of transportation means and skills that Callie and his team have, they embark on a globe-spanning adventure.
This production will showcase a variety of star-studded aerial acrobatics by our very own members of the Orange County Aerial Arts performing team and the students of the Ruby Karen Project

About the IATTP: Accredited by AERIAL ARTS AMERICA, International Aerial Teacher Training Program (IATTP) is a teaching program that provides aspiring educators and seasoned aerial artists with methods that will aid them to master their skills and technique in teaching this artform to a variety of clientele.
Ruby Karen designed and launched this program in 2012 and introduced this as the main educational course of Aerial Arts America. IATTP offers an array of courses, from single to multiple apparatus, as well as courses that are geared towards fitness and performances.

STUDENT NEWS: Congratulations to two of our students who recently competed and won first place in their respective category: IVY MACDONALD, 10 on Trapeze and CAMBRIA GOERING, 11 on Hoop, at the De Leon Festival. They started their training at the Ruby Karen Project since they were 6 years old and have continued their training 5 years continuously to this day.

PRIVATE SESSIONS: Special sessions greatly assist students who need to work on specific skills. The sessions also help create a customize routine that fits the personality, character and skillset of a student, while working on other areas of performing arts. It helps them improve their confidence and is a process of learning more about themselves. This session is most popular when a student is preparing for a performance in front of the community and professional environment, which to its end, forms a major part of their artistic and technical development.
Here at the Ruby Karen Project, we recommend this type of sessions for students who have trained with us for over a year.
On another note, we want to commend our students who used this tool in their successful aerial journey: Maddie Seay, Jenna Ali, Sofie Dossi, Callie Georgantes, India Agle, Staci Ensminger, Lola Espinosa, Ivy MacDonald, Cambria Goering, Ana Nguyen, Laura Roussel, and more. Many of them garnered multiple awards and outstanding reviews as a result of their commitment to their training that involved private sessions.

WHAT IS THE APPRENTICE PROGRAM
|
This program is geared towards recreational and pre-professional training in performing arts, both from a production’s front and backend. It is a contract that consist of technique classes in aerials and acrobatics combined with practice sessions. Supplemental benefits and opportunities include membership in RKP's performing team, the Orange County Aerial Arts (OCAA), demonstrations at several popular venues and community events including the OC Fair, Festival of the Arts - Laguna Beach, Newport Beach Filmfest, South Coast Plaza's Festival of Children, Thousand Lights @ Sherman Gardens, OC Fairground's Winterfest and more. The program also prepares the apprentice for a single competition event at the West Coast Aerial Arts Festival.
Additionally, the apprentice learns added skills not offered to regular students, including ground acrobatics, circus arts, contortion, hand manipulation skills, acro-adagio/ acro-gymnastic partnering, and dance movement in many forms.
Lastly, the apprentice gets to have a one-on-one goal oriented discussion with us and undergoes a yearly placement examination to secure academic growth and maturity in the specific discipline/s they have chosen. It is also in this program where the student is prepped for higher education or professional undertakings.

Shortly after, we will ask you to fill out the Casting Form and purchase the Rehearsal Package as early as possible so we can start choreographing your personalized recital piece. Mindbody Reservation and Cancellation Policies |
|
We know that the Mindbody system can be a bit challenging at the beginning however here are a few tricks to ensure you can reserve your spot and cancel on time.
- Always sign-in under your name if you are the student or sign-in under your child's name. Contact us if you are having trouble setting-up your child's account.
- Most of our 4-class packages expire in 30 days of the 1st scheduled session (with exceptions).
- When purchasing a package, be mindful when selecting the 1st class of that package. You will not be able to reserve a date before that initial date you selected.
- Reserve 5-7 days in advance for a session, and if you know your schedule well enough, reserve for the remaining sessions of the package.
- Our cancellation policy is strictly observed. You will need to cancel 12 hours in advance of the session you are reserved in, otherwise your session will be considered redeemed.
- When getting on the waitlist, make sure that you had opt-in to received text messages and email notification so you will know when you have been admitted to the class. Once admitted, the session will be deducted from your package.
- Do not sign-into waitlist if you do not have a session to apply the class, otherwise we will charge you with a single drop-in rate.
If you practice these parameters, you will see how flexible and advantageous the system can be for you. We have opted to give you as much options so you can plan your training and be as efficient with your time.

Waitlist and Notification of Class Admission:
Please update your MB account to receive notification via email and text of admittance from your waitlist reservation. Here's how:
- When you log in, go the PROFILE and go to the PERSONAL column.
- There is an "Edit" button and it will allow you to add your Phone provider and make sure to enter your mobile phone to get text messages when added from the waitlist.
- Also make sure to update your email address and OPT-IN for our newsletter. This way you are up to date on all announcements and have an added source when figuring school activities, news, important announcements.
- Please add info@rubykaren.com rubykaren@gmail.com and lucachn@gmail.com in your email's safe list. This way, newsletters do not get dumped in your spam or junk folder.

Sign-up as a waitlist and check its status within 12 hours before the session.
We have a 12 hrs. cancellation policy; Be mindful of our 30 day policy on most packages. We do not extend packages even if there are holidays. Make sure to reserve your spot several days to a week before the session to ensure you have a spot.

MAINTENANCE FEE: Every January, all active students who have been with us for over a year is required to pay a yearly Maintenance Fee of $20.00 to handle minor adjustments in your Mindbody account.
