Ahhh September…People say we don’t have seasons here in Florida, but I disagree. September alone is the start of snook season, peak hurricane season, afternoon thunderstorm season, and the start of baby sea turtle season. All of which should give a good indication of what to expect during your stay here this month; anglers are lining the shorelines vying for their favorite fishing spots, rates are low and so are the crowds, activities are best planned first thing in the morning, and nights with a full moon are primed for sea turtle encounters!
National Estuaries Week is September 17 th through the 24 th this year. Did you know? The Indian River Lagoon (IRL) is the most biodiverse estuary in North America! It’s home to more than 4,300 species of plants and animals and serves as a spawning and nursery ground for fish, dolphin, and many endangered or threatened species including sea turtles and manatees. The Environmental Learning Center, located along the Wabasso Causeway, is a great place to learn more about the IRL.
Check in at the Pelican Porch Visitor Center when you first arrive and get all the local knowledge, tips, and itinerary ideas for your visit. Click here to learn more.

Theatre Festival Wine Reception
September 7, 2022 at 6:00pm
Box Office: 772-562-8300
2020 San Juan Avenue
Vero Beach FL 32960
The Vero Beach Theatre Guild is inviting you to a Wine Reception to kick off their September Theatre Festival presenting 10 plays by Tennessee Williams. The month of September at the Theatre Guild is packed with entertainment, debate, master acting class, contests, music and so much more every day of the month!
Our opening night is FREE as you will be invited to browse a lobby display of memorabilia from the Tennessee Williams Museum from Key West, Florida. The curator of the museum, Dennis Beaver, will be on hand welcoming guests and presenting a seminar on the life and times of T.W. To wrap up the night a filmed interview with Tennessee Williams, where he discusses his own plays in his own words while he was living in both Key West and New Orleans.
We are very excited to be offering this collection of Tennessee Williams’ works to include our main stage show of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Don’t miss the fun and excitement at the Guild and looking forward to seeing you there.

Here in Sebastian we don't have many big chain coffee houses. What we do have is Cafe Latte da and it's fabulous menu of homemade items made from scratch. The atmosphere reminds me of a visit to grandmas house with the heavenly smell from her kitchen making you immediately feel at home and hungry! CafeLatteDa.com or @SebastianCoffeeHouse
