The Duluth Area Chamber and the Duluth News Tribune will provide you a timely opportunity to meet the candidates running for local office this election season. Moderating will be Chamber President Matt Baumgartner and Duluth News Tribune Editorial Page Editor Chuck Frederick.

The 2022 Candidate Forums are free and open to the public.

Duluth’s Parks Fund Levy

Mayor Emily Larson, parks officials, and others will discuss a ballot question to change Duluth’s Parks Fund levy, first approved by voters in 2011, from a fixed dollar amount of $2.6 million a year to a percentage of property value. The change would allow Park Fund levy proceeds to grow over time.

Each forum will be “Civility Certified,” with the participation of Speak Your Peace: The Civility Project, an effort launched in 2003 by the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation.
