These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. PROVERBS 6:16-19

Dividing A Nation

President Biden sowed discord among his own countrymen when he spoke divisively against former President Donald Trump and those who supported him and his policies. Biden delivered his speech in front of Independence Hall on September 1st with a backdrop of black and red that gave an eerie sight to those who were watching and listening to the speech. It sounded more like the words of a dictator than of a President. Never in our history has a President spoken such divisive words in a dangerous and destructive manner. The Bible warns in Proverbs 15:1 “…a soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger. The American people need a leader who will speak comfort and encouragement to them at this time of great challenge and economic hardship, not words of division. Mr. Biden has unwisely divided the people, and one must ask the question, “What was his motive?” What is certain is that the American people will make major changes come November 8th with the Midterm Elections. I will leave you with this quote from one of our fellow Ohioans, President James Garfield, “In a country such as this where the people choose their leaders, if the Congress be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption.”

OHIO CHRISTIAN ALLIANCE VOTER GUIDE    OCA will once again be providing an informative voter guide that covers the U.S. Senate race, Ohio’s fifteen new Congressional districts, the statewide races for Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Auditor, and Treasurer, Ohio House and Ohio Senate, and this year the Ohio Supreme Court. OCA since 2002 has printed and distributed 11 million voter guides. This valued resource is an effective tool for Ohioans to understand the positions of candidates on the issues, with emphasis on issues of life, family, and religious freedom.

This year, the Ohio Christian Alliance will provide both a printed voter guide and an electronic voter guide that will be text-messaged to voters across Ohio. We have the ability to text message the voter guide directly to people’s cell phones and we are working with conservative groups to obtain an even larger list to text-message the voter guide to Ohioans. At this late hour, to save our Republic it is important for people of faith to be fully engaged in this year’s Election.
