Wednesday, Nov. 8

7:00 - 8:15 PM EST

Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a supporter of democracy but be in the minority in the Florida legislature?

Anna Eskamani has been a member of the Florida House of Representatives since 2018, representing the 42nd district. She made history as the first Iranian-American elected to any public office in Florida and has supported issues of economic justice, environmental protection, equality for all, and funding for public schools.

Rita Harris went from being a mother and community activist to being the State Representative for Florida House District 44 in 2022. She is a member of the Ethics, Elections & Open Government Subcommittee and was a sponsor of a bill to enact an agreement among states to elect the President by national popular vote.
