 Trials

We all have our journeys in life, some are planned and filled with fun and adventure while others come in the framework of trials that  just seem to show up out of the blue.  But in regard to trials come our way, just a few thoughts:

1) There is never anything that  lands in our  personal universe that has not first gone through the sieve of God.

2) There is never anything to hard or complicated that God cannot and will not use for his ultimate glory

3) When trials are dropped at our doorstep of life, these are the times when God is waiting for an invitation to join us in our Christian walk.. . A time to show his presence, to encourage us, to give us hope, to walk beside us and strengthen us.  This is when our faith is to be purposefully activated.

4) If we address our trials through God’s perspective, he is using our trials to grow us up  and to help us to be the person that he knows that we can be.

5) God doesn’t always change circumstances but I know that  God changes me and helps me grow to trust him in spite of circumstance.  So I continue to ask… help me to accept those things I cannot change, to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

6) And how do I know what God is up to….I ask to guide me. ( and guard my heard and heklp me find peace in the middle of chaos.) And I will say lots of times he is calling me to grow up and reminds me to keep the main things the main thing instead of wavering off into incidental things that have no significance or real lasting treasure.

7) God's wisdom is perhaps the greatest tool for our spiritual growth! I read one time that God's wisdom is the defogger for our fuzzy lenses. And when we ask the Lord for wisdom…when we pray for wisdom we are opening a heart door that helps us learn about God's overall purpose and plan.  God has a big picture for each of us… and when we spend time in his word or in prayer he gives us little glimpses of how he is changing us for his purposes.

8) The bible tells us to rejoice in trials…and that seem odd and sort of backwards, I know,  but the victories are already won! We can claim victory because God has already claimed victory through his son.   Our victories are in Jesus and He already won the victory. It is hard to really trust that God has “GOT “ whatever situation you may be in.  Be this is where our faith must run deep, and we must trust a God we cannot see, to do mighty things we cannot imagine.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds…." James 1:12

Praise God wherever you are and whatever situation He has allowed you to be in . . . His glory will shine through!
