Tushar Gandhi, the founder and president of the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation which honors the work and legacy of his great-grandfather, Mahatma Gandhi, will be speaking on the topic of international healthcare disparities. His visit to Wright State is sponsored by the Morris Family, the Boonshoft School of Medicine’s Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and the College of Liberal Arts.

Silent Book Club: "Ma and Me" by Putsata Reang

To prepare for author Putsata Reang's visit to WSU on April 4, you are invited to a "silent book club" that engages with her memoir, Ma and Me. The goal of silent book club to provide time, space, and quiet company for you to read or listen to the book. Please join the ANA, LGBTQA, and Women's Center every Wednesday through April 3 to read for a bit! *You are also welcome to join us for these dates/times to read anything else you like. A limited number of books are available to borrow from the ANA Center and Dunbar Library.

You are invited to nominate individuals and organizations for the Women's Center Awards for school year 2023-2024. Nominations are accepted until March 1st, 2024. Recognition will be awarded at the Women's Center's discretion, and nomination is not necessary to be awarded. Self-nominations and peer-nominations are accepted. The Women's Center Award ceremony is on International Women's Day, Friday, March 8th from 11am-1pm in the Endeavor Room.

Call for Research Participants

Emotional Socialization in Black Males: Signs and Symptoms of Distress in this Population


Artesia Dunbar (Principle Investigator) is a Clinical Psychology PsyD student at Wright State University in the School of Professional Psychology and she is recruiting participants for her IRB approved (IRB-2023-301) research study that explores Black males’ experiences with expressing negative emotions in adolescents. Individuals who identify as a Black male and is between the ages of 18 and 21 are encouraged participate. Eligible participants will be entered to win one of three- $15 gift cards for completing the consent and survey using the provided link. Those that are eligible and choose to participate in the interview will receive a $25 gift card. For any inquiries, contact Artesia Dunbar at 678-926-8316 or Dunbar.15@wright.edu.
