Happy January! Kick off the new year by scoping out the dates of your favorite annual downtown events produced by Downtown Boulder Community Initiatives! Check out our signature events here.


Set out on a self-guided AR (virtual) tour of downtown before January 31st! Scan the special QR code found on the Snow Much Fun AR Experience signs posted on each block of the Pearl Street Mall, as well as along the East End and West End to unlock special Instagram filters! Meet a shy bumble on the East End, an adorable polar bear family on the 1400 block, an amazing arctic orca on the 1100 block and more! Them, head over to the Boulder Public Library/Civic Area for a nosy narwhal and all his friends!

Celebrating Colorado's Black Street Artists

Saturday, January 20th | 1:30-3 PM | Museum of Boulder

This Monday, Celebrate MLK Jr. Day with a visit to the Museum of Boulder to explore their "Proclaiming Colorado's Black History" exhibit (that runs through September 2025). 


Then head back on Saturday, January 20th for two other exciting events:


From noon - 1 pm, enjoy guided tours with Adrian Miller (co-project director, lead curator and famed soul food historian) for $20, followed by Celebrating Colorado's Black Street Artists panel discussion featuring muralists Jahna Rae (pictured above), Yazz Atmore, Devin “Speaks” Urioste, Rob Hill, Marcus Murray and moderated by Moe Gram from 1:30 - 3 pm for $7.50 (or FREE for members)!

Every year, the Downtown Boulder Partnership celebrates small businesses, organizations and community members during our Annual Awards Luncheon!


This year, the award for Nonprofit Organization of the Year will be presented to Mindful Works! This small but mighty artisan-based organization provides essential job training and career opportunities to individuals recovering from mental illnesses. Their team designs, manufactures and distributes home accessories and wellness products including meditation cushions, yoga bolsters, restful sleeping pillows and more. Spend some time getting to know more about Mindful Works and explore their offerings. Congratulations to this incredible local organization and their team of amazing artisans!

Congrats to Bohemian Biergarten on their Food Network "eature"!
