“If we wish to serve God and love our neighbor well, we must manifest our joy in the service we render to Him and them.  Let us open wide our hearts.”

FEBRUARY 2024

Happy February St. Louis families! February brings the opportunity to focus on love, and as we enter Lent, we also become more aware of what it means to truly sacrifice. This month our Purple Star Project students worked on preparing Valetine’s Day Boxes for our adopted soldiers.  Opening our hearts to see love, schoolwide we made conversation hearts that our Purple Star Project students made into garland for the care packages. We also added some treats and socks to keep our soldiers warm!

We move forward remembering to keep our deployed service members and their families in our hearts, remembering their daily sacrifices which procure our freedoms.

Purple Star Project

Our Purple Star Project students helped to facilitate our Valentine’s Day care packages by writing letters to our adopted soldiers and assembling the conversation heart garland. K-8 homerooms worked together to make the heart garland messages for our adopted soldiers to hang in their rooms.

The conversation hearts read sentiments such as “You’re A Hero”, “We Are Grateful”, notes of appreciation, jokes, and quotes. We sent care packages of snacks, socks, hand warmers, and more to show our gratitude.
