City of Duncanville Names Matthew Stogner as Lone Chief of Police Finalist

DUNCANVILLE, TX—The City of Duncanville is pleased to announce that Matthew Stogner has been selected as the lone finalist for the position of Chief of Police. Mr. Stogner has been a member of the Duncanville Police Department since 1998, most recently serving as the City’s Interim Chief of Police since January 2024.

$56,225 - $81,527


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of related experience.


CERTIFICATION, LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Certified Government Financial Officer certification is preferred.

SALARY RANGE

$84,542 - $122,587


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires a High School Diploma and eight (8) years of related work experience OR An Associate’s Degree in a related field and six (6) years of related work experience OR A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with four (4) years of related work experience.

RECREATION CENTER MANAGER


SALARY RANGE: $50,040.28 - $72,559.18

Salary is dependent on education and experience.


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires an Associate’s Degree or higher and (2) years of related work experience.


CERTIFICATION, LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires CPR and First-Aid certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

SPECIAL EVENTS PLANNER


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Studies, Economic Development, Business Administration, or a related field.

Requires one year of progressively responsible experience in coordinating special events which contains experience with/in:


  • Graphic Design Expertise w/ Adobe Suite
  • Marketing
  • Social Media


Requires a current, valid Texas Driver’s License


SALARY RANGE

$66,965.90 to $97,100.55

REMINDER: Place trash, recycling, brush, and bulk debris at the curb/alley no earlier than 12:01 AM and no later than 7:00 AM on scheduled collection days.


No construction materials will be picked up. These items must be disposed of by the contractor or taken to Skyline Landfill for a $35 fee.
