Are you caring for a parent, spouse, or child? Have you been caring for a loved one for a long time or just beginning your journey? We have a support group just for caregivers. We’d love for you to join us.

Caregivers is a book study along with presentations by local resources for the many typical needs for this season of life. Our next session will be Saturdays, from 9:00 am - 10:30 am, beginning Saturday, March 2, in worship center room 107. If you would like to either join a group or learn more about Caregivers ministry, please email Gaylene Scheide at gscheide@christcovenant.org.

Our Mission Conference is March 2 - 3, 2024 and our theme is, “That the Next Generation Might Know.” We have several exciting events that you can attend!

Coffee and Conversations with Supported Workers

Join us for breakfast snacks, fellowship, and to hear from some of our supported workers. Don’t miss this special opportunity to engage in what the Lord is doing in the part of the world where they serve. We will also learn about the challenges they face and how we can pray for them. Lowell Ivey

Lowell Ivey was set free in prison while serving a 17 year sentence for armed robbery. He was released on parole in 2009. After graduating from Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2015, Lowell served a yearlong internship at Covenant Community Church (OPC) in Taylors, South Carolina. He was called and ordained as a church planter in 2016 to Reformation Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2024, Lowell, sensed the Lord calling him to serve the church on both sides of the prison walls as Director of Metanoia Prison Ministries. Lowell longs to see the church growing in faithfulness to its calling to bring Christ to the prisoner and the prisoner to Christ. Lowell and his wife, Mae, have five children and are expecting their sixth in August 2024.

Ben Kappers

Ben Kappers is a church planter in St. George, Utah. The mission of his church, All Saints Reformed Church, is to establish an orthodox, reformed, and evangelical church in the spiritual desert of southwest Utah. Only 2% of the 200,000+ people in this area are Christians. 65-70% of the local population is Mormon (LDS), while another 20-25% has no religious affiliation. Southwest Utah is regularly ranked as the fastest growing region in the United States. Ben and his wife, Melanie, have six children.

Frank and Sheree

Frank and Sheree are restricted workers who do ministry in the Arabic speaking world, equipping leaders and pastors to plant and grow churches in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). They do this by partnering with Arab believers to facilitate local training and teaching. Frank directs a MENA regional seminary that provides biblical and pastoral teaching to support local churches in the region. Sheree leads the Christian preschool in the low-income part of their city to prepare the children for school and create in them a lifelong love of learning.

Christ Covenant Church welcomes supported workers from across the globe who are here with us today! Sunday Worship

Join us for morning and evening worship as we have the opportunity to hear and to learn from Dr. Victor Nakah.

Faith Promise is the primary means by which Christ Covenant financially supports international and domestic supported workers and church planters. Through Faith Promise, God blesses those who are supported, those whose prayers he answers by providing unexpected resources, and those who hear how God demonstrates his power to provide in beautiful ways, year after year. Ultimately those who are blessed the most are those who hear the good news and whose lives are changed for an eternity!

On Sunday, March 3, we will have a special time during our morning worship service to offer our Faith Promise commitment cards with our pledges and pray that God will provide for the ministry partners we are supporting in 2024. What might God supply through you to help empower our supported workers and church planters across the globe this year as they share Christ across the world?

Our church’s American Heritage Girls (AHG) Troop 0800 is having a donation drive for Roof Above tenants with limited income. Roof Above's missions is to unite the community to end homelessness, one life at a time. Our AHG troop is collecting cleaning supplies for "Fresh Start" kits and needs your help! Would you be willing to purchase and drop off a needed item or two? A donation bin is located at the Children’s Ministry Welcome Desk in the north lobby on March 3, 10, and 17. If you have any questions about the donation drive, please reach out to the troop at christcovenantahg@outlook.com

All are welcome to join us on Sunday, March 10, following the evening service in the Community Life Center rooms 1&2 (CLC), to hear from our supported workers, Samuel and Carol Foucachon. Samuel and Carol are church planters in Paris, France. They began the first worship service of what is now the Chapelle de Nesle in the center of Paris (Latin quarter) in 2012. Come and enjoy light refreshments as we learn about what the Lord is doing through the Foucachons in Paris!

Volunteer

Baked goods are needed! We’d like to bless the pastors and attendees with individually wrapped baked goods during the Coram Deo conference. No amount is too small! Would you be willing to bake homemade treats, individually wrap them, and bring them to either main lobby of the worship center on Sunday, March 10, or to the church’s main office on Monday, March 11, by 5:00 pm. Children’s ministry invites you to attend our Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23, from 9:30 am – 11:30 am in the Community Life Center (CLC). This is a family fun time for children 5th grade and younger to come for story time*, crafts and an egg hunt. We hope to see you there! *Story times are at 10:00 am and 11:00 am. Candy Needed for Easter Egg Hunt

Children’s ministry is requesting donations of bags of individually wrapped candy for the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23. Baskets are available for donation drop off at the Children’s Ministry Welcome Desk in the north lobby and at the Guest Center in the main lobby. All are invited to join us once a month for a time of prayer focused on our nation. Throughout Scripture, we read of God’s people calling out to him for help, guidance, and direction for its leaders and land. In this election year it seems right to gather, not for politics, but prayer. Would you join us on Sunday, March 24, from 5:00 pm – 5:40 pm, in the worship center room 107 as we gather to call on God’s name?

Christ Covenant’s HisAbilities ministry needs volunteers for our upcoming Spring Respite Night on Saturday, April 20. This event is a wonderful opportunity for our church to come alongside Christ Covenant families impacted by disability by providing a few hours of respite for parents while their children are cared for and engaged by a team of volunteers providing a safe environment with a variety of fun activities! Volunteers must be a member of Christ Covenant, but no experience with disabilities is needed to serve (training resources are provided and we work to make sure our volunteers are serving in a capacity in which they are comfortable). The evening is always a rich blessing and a great time to make encouraging connections with this special part of our church body! Respite Night is held in the lower level of the Community Life Center, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
