The Future of Plastic and Recycling Event April 12
GBIG will sponsor the Future of Plastic Recycling, beginning with a 9am tour at Convergen Energy, 600 Liberty St, Green Bay, followed by 11am Check-in, 12pm Lunch and 1pm Presentation at Johnsonville Tailgate Village, 1265 Lombardi Ave., Green Bay.

Speakers in the afternoon include George W. Huber, UW-Madison Professor and Director of the Center for Chemical Upcycling of Waste Plastics (CUWP). CUWP is developing a technology that allows the recycling of flexible and rigid, multilayer and mixed plastic wastes. This technology is called solvent targeted recovery and precipitation, or STRAP. After CUWP successfully operates a STRAP pilot system, the organization plans to design the first commercial facility in Green Bay. Learn more on April 12.
