Attendance at Authorized Agent Webinars Now Required Within Three Months of Appointment! | |
Important New Legislative Requirement
Effective January 1, 2024, Illinois pension law requires all new IMRF Authorized Agents to complete an IMRF-provided training course within three months of appointment.

These online webinars are for Authorized Agents to learn about IMRF procedures and how to administer IMRF benefits. Register today!
This 2-part webinar series prepares IMRF Authorized Agents to perform common IMRF tasks. Each webinar stands alone, and you can attend them in either order.
Please Note: To receive a completion certificate, you must attend the 2 online sessions live. Watching a recording at a later date will not result in a certificate of completion.

December Wage Report Due Date Reminder! | |
Your employer's December 2023 wage report is due no later than Friday, January 26, 2024. You must submit your employer's final 2023 wage report and any adjustments by this date for IMRF to include the information in your employer's 2023 Member Statements of Account and 2023 GASB statements. These documents are available in early 2024. You should also resolve any outstanding pending wages by January 26.
Late Reports and Adjustments Could Make 2023 Documents Inaccurate
Wage reports and adjustments received after January 26, 2024, may not appear until your employer's 2024 Member Statements of Account or 2024 GASB statements. These documents aren't scheduled for distribution until early 2025.
Use Employer Access
The most accurate way to submit member wages and adjustments to IMRF is through Employer Access.
Please contact IMRF at 1-800-728-7971 (employer-only number) with questions about reporting wages to IMRF.

IMRF New Employer Access Launching in March
Do You Need a Training Refresher?

If you attended the required training in September for the New IMRF Employer Access system and would like to review what you learned, a schedule for refresher training will be available at www.imrf.org by the end of January and published in the February Employer Digest.
If you have not attended the required Employer training yet, to prepare you for using the New Employer Access system (launching March 2024), please register for a February training session. These will be posted on the IMRF website by the end of this month and also published in the February issue of Employer Digest.

IMRF Board of Trustees News | |
Sue Stanish has been re-elected as Executive Trustee. IMRF Employers voted in the Executive Trustee election this fall, and the Board certified the results of the election at their meeting on Friday, December 15.
Stanish, Director of Finance for the Naperville Park District, has served on the IMRF Board for the past 10 years. She served as Board Vice President in 2016, Board President in 2017, Board Secretary in 2021, and has been the chairperson or vice chairperson of multiple IMRF committees including the Investment Committee, Audit Committee, and Legislative Committee.
Her new term will run from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2028.

2024 Board Officers
IMRF's Board of Trustees elected their 2024 Board Officers. Peter Stefan is President, Louis Kosiba is Vice President, and Sue Stanish is Secretary.

Employee Trustee Peter Stefan has served on the Board since 2021 and is Finance Director/Treasurer for the Village of Lake in the Hills.
Annuitant Trustee Louis Kosiba has served on the Board since 2021. He is the retired Executive Director for IMRF.
Executive Trustee Sue Stanish has served on the Board since 2014 and is the Director of Finance for the Naperville Park District.

December Board Meeting Highlights | |
On Friday, December 15, 2023, the IMRF Board of Trustees:
- Certified the result of the Executive Trustee Election.
- Elected their 2024 Board Officers.
- Set the 2024 Board Meeting Schedule.
- Approved the minority investment manager usage report.

Approved the participation of new employers: Elwood Fire Protection District, New Athens Library District, and Village of Colfax.
