Employee Spotlight

Rachel Langley & Crystal Ridenhour

Member Service Representatives | 27 years (each)

Crystal Ridenhour and Rachel Langley have worked together serving cooperative members in the lobby at the Waldron District office for 27 years. After being hired within a few months of one another, Crystal and Rachel are more like sisters than co-workers.

Both women were born and raised in Waldron and have since raised their own families in their hometown. Both came to the cooperative for different reasons but have fallen in love with the cooperative way of life.

Most days both women work side-by-side in the lobby assisting customers who visit the drive-thru, walk in to make a payment or call with questions or concerns.

Changing the Communities We Serve

Wave Rural Connect and Arkansas Valley Electric donated a total of $10,000 to Magazine School District for the high school's new gym floor. Our motto at AVECC is "Changing the Communities We Serve," and this is one of the many ways the co-op and WAVE have been honored to do just that.

$20,000

Fore a Good Cause!

AVECC's 3rd Annual Golf Tournament was a resounding success, with a grand total of $20,000 raised for the benefit of Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Held in July at the River Valley Golf Course in Dyer, AR, the tournament brought together 30 teams from all across the region to contribute to a worthy cause. Over the past three years, the annual tournament has enabled AVECC to donate approximately $50,000 to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

“There have been multiple cooperative families whose children have been saved by medical professionals at Arkansas Children's Hospital. We felt it was a no-brainer to give back to an institution that has impacted countless lives in the River Valley.” -Director of Communications and Technology, Brandon Fisher
