CCI Impacts Diverse Communities in North America

Greetings Ministry Partners,

The ministry of CCI in North America is reaching out to more people groups than ever before. Many people come to this region to escape the hardship and political turmoil of their home country, some seeking freedom to live out their Christian faith and others seeking hope of a better future. While in this area, many experience the grace provided by Christians who befriend them.

As a result, they become believers and want to grow in knowledge and faith. CCI is able to provide sound biblical training in languages they are comfortable with and in their local areas at very affordable costs. As a result, CCI is conducting classes in Nepalese, Cambodian, Laotian, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and French at the current time and expanding into Lahu and Romanian in the upcoming months.

I will be certifying a trainer in the Phoenix area who leads a Romanian Church and is linked to an association of Romanian churches throughout the US. By God’s grace, we will have a class started this fall in Romanian, with a Teacher Training Workshop (TTW) planned for later in the year to certify other qualified pastors as trainers among the Romanian Churches. Praise the Lord for these opportunities.

We appreciate your prayers and support.

Haiti & The Dominican Republic

We recently graduated 34 students in Barahona, Dominican Republic (DR), with students who have been trained using Haitian Creole and French lessons. These classes were led by a Creole pastor from Florida who traveled there consistently over a period of five years to lead and disciple these students. Several of these graduates are already leading churches in the DR and are planning to become trainers and expand the ministry among the Haitian refugees in the DR.

Staff Update:

Pastor Calixte, the Regional Coordinator for West & South Haiti, took Esechiel Meceno to Calvary Mountain, Kenskoff, from July 25 to 27 to introduce him to Pastor Gerald Fils Aime. They shared ministry insights, reviewed training programs, and encouraged Meceno to pursue certification and start classes there.

Pastor Castille, the Regional Coordinator for North Haiti, is dealing with ongoing health issues affecting his wife. However, he remains active in teaching and overseeing classes in Northern Haiti and collaborating with Haitian educators in the northern Dominican Republic.

Pastor Saindius, the Area Coordinator for Upper Artibonite and Northwest Haiti, teaches four classes and supervises three additional trainers. One of his classes is expected to graduate 14 students in December.

Pastor Clotaire, the Area Coordinator for the Southern Region in Haiti, visited Alexander Pierre Michael in the southern department at the end of July. He led worship at the Church Theophile in Christ Church in Chatodain and encouraged the establishment of classes in the area.

Pastor Mecien, the Area Coordinator for North and Northwest Haiti, traveled to Hinche in the Central Plateau to visit the Baptist Church of Jerusalem and Pastor St. Fort Thelus, where a class is being held. He then went to Souffrierre, near Cap Haitien, to visit the Church Assembly of Jesus Christ, where Pastor Joseph leads a class.

Mexico

Keith and Jenny Arnold, Northern Mexico Coordinators, have completed their trip to the US and Honduras. Keith joined Ray McKenzie, the Central America Regional Director in El Progresso, Honduras, to teach Book #2 from June 20 to 27. They had 20 students complete the class.

In Keith's absence, the classes in Mexico were led by men who had been trained and prepared by him, and these classes continued to progress during his absence.

In July, Keith celebrated and baptized 10 people at a new church plant. Link to Baptism Video - https://youtu.be/fraPX8qbHps

Keith has also had the opportunity to preach in local churches in Mexico and develop discipleship relationships with several pastors and church leaders. He continues to foster these relationships and network with others to expand the reach and awareness of the training available through CCI. Several churches and leaders are discussing how and when to start classes in their local churches.

Jenny has been prayerfully considering how best to reach out to women in the region. She is considering starting a women’s Bible study and fellowship time to develop these relationships further and build up women of faith in the area.

Please enjoy this video testimony from Luis Cadenas, who is one of Keith's students. He was also one of the members of the church plant who was baptized. To view the video, click here or on the video above.

Canada

Next month, the Fall Tour kicks off with Dr. David Nelson and three national directors from Southeast Asia visiting churches and ministry partners in multiple states, from Texas to California and then up to Canada. Click here to view the Fall Tour Schedule.

Additionally, Dr. David Nelson will visit our partners in Canada during the CCI Fall Tour. In conjunction with Faith Evangelical Bible Church (FEBC), he will conduct a conference from October 4 to 6 with more than 200 pastors and leaders in the area.
