The Middle School Minute
How to help Reduce Academic Anxiety
When scholars feel prepared, they tend to be less anxious about their academics.
-
Don’t Cram - Make a habit of preparing each evening.
- Practice Information Recall
- Ask your scholar about the lessons that they have learned.
- Encourage practice tests or creating their own quiz from class notes.
-
Ask clarifying questions - Teachers may be willing to share not only the topics of a test, but also the types of questions that may be asked.
-
Incorporate some time for relaxation - Deep breathing is a simple relaxation technique that can be practiced at almost any time and place.
-
Make healthy choices - Research shows that a healthy diet, sleep schedule, and moderation of electronics are best practices for all of us!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are currently at 10% school participation for Tax Credit!
Meeting our Tax Credit goal is imperative for the success of our Athletics program, Field Trips & our Enrichment courses.
Let’s make sure we take advantage of the opportunity the state of Arizona has given us, and use our taxes wisely to support Trivium!
If you have not done so yet, don’t miss your chance to CHOOSE how a portion of your AZ state tax dollars are spent! Re-direct them to Trivium Prep here before you file your 2023 AZ state tax return, and when you file, just complete Form 322 so that you can get your $200 or $400 Tax Credit added to your refund (or used to off-set anything you might owe the state if your taxes were underpaid in 2023). It’s that simple!!!
If you’ve already done your Tax Credit, then now is the time to ask all your AZ friends and family to do the same with their tax dollars! If we reach 50% participation we will have mystery coaches in a dunk tank!

School Messenger Communication
Great Hearts and Trivium Prep continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.
