WEEKLY UPDATE

Prayer is simply the medium through which we communicate and commune with God. The practice of prayer is learning to set aside dedicated time to intentionally be with God in order to become like him and partner with him in the world. Church on the Hill has always been, and will always be, a praying church. But with all things, even taking time to pray can get lost in the overwhelming number of things we have on our to do lists.

This is why we have created a way to help you. During the season of Lent, we will be offering a 4-week study, The Prayer Practice by John Mark Comer, in a unique way that we hope, we will meet you where you are. This study will be 100% digital and it is done at 100% your pace and on your time. How? All of the materials – questions, comments, etc. – will be posted on a private Facebook page, and only those registered for the class will have access. Each week during the 4-week study, new information will be added for you to read and comment as you feel led. You can interact, ask questions, even listen to the included podcasts. There will be a facilitator as well who will be interacting with the members as needed and can answer any questions you may have. The best part? All of this can be done while you are waiting – waiting in carline, waiting for your child at baseball practice or dance practice, waiting at the doctor’s office. All of the places where you find yourself waiting, and just scrolling through your phone.

Sign up is easy....CLICK HERE to register to participate. We hope you’ll join us for The Prayer Practice a digital opportunity that meets you where you are.

HAPPENING ON THE HILL

Current Series: We Are the Church

January 7-February 11

Scripture describes the Church as a body. A human body is made up of many parts and each one of us has a unique part to play. The Church is made up of all kinds of people with unique gifts and skills that God wants to use for His kingdom.

We hope you have enjoyed the We Are The Church series as we have explored the values of Church on the Hill and we each fit into that. Visit onthehill.life/we-are for more information and we’ll see you Sunday at 9:30 am in the Chapel and 11 am in the Worship Center for the last message from the series.

Ash Wednesday Services

February 14

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent and helps us to focus our attention on Christ’s journey toward the Cross. We hope you will join us THIS WEDNESDAY, February 14, for one of two special Ash Wednesday services in the Chapel at 12 pm and 7 pm. Childcare will be provided for birth-preschool for the 7 pm service.
