ARE YOU REGISTERED TO VOTE?
Getting registered to vote is a very simple, yet important process. If you are not registered, please take this opportunity to do so now before the March Primary and the November Presidential Election.
You can register to vote at the Village Hall, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or you can register online at https://ova.elections.il.gov/
SNOW AND ICE REMINDERS
There is no on-street parking allowed anytime there is a 2" or more snow event. For Cranberry Lake North and Holiday Ln. residents, your vehicles need to be off the street between the hours of Noon and 4:00 p.m. the DAY AFTER the snow event.
Give snowplows room to work.
Make sure your sidewalks are free of snow and ice. Also, let's look out for our neighbors who might not be able to remove snow on their own by lending a helping hand.
When removing snow from your driveway, be sure NOT to push it into the street.
Please clean snow and ice away from Fire Hydrants in your area.
If your sump pump line is discharging into the street or onto a sidewalk, please move it as this freezes and creates dangerous ice situations.
With the colder temperatures and freezing water in the area, the desire grows for ice skating, fishing and other outdoor activities. It is important that you know how to be sure the ice is safe and have a plan in place in case of an emergency. There are various websites where you can learn all about ice safety.
