Do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films and taking photos? Then join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTA Reflections Artist Competition! 

The PTA Reflections competition is NOW OPEN. The theme for 2022-2023 Reflections is "Show your Voice!!"

The categories are dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. All entries will be submitted online. Students in TK through Grade 12 are invited to create and submit original works of art in these areas. To start, please begin the application: REFLECTIONS APPLICATION.

Join us for Walk & Roll to School Day on 10/12/22! The group meeting spot for the morning of Walk & Roll Day is Morgan and Goodman. Students and families will gather between 7:35am and 7:45am before the group walks to the main gate of school together.

On Walk and Roll to School Day, held every October since 1997, communities celebrate the joy of walking and biking to school. Each year thousands of schools, students, parents, and their communities across the country lace up their sneakers or strap on their helmets and come together to bring visibility to the benefits of walking and bicycling.

3.   Make sure to check the box for REDONDO BEACH EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION so Team Jefferson GETS CREDIT for each of our walkers!

Last year, 272 Walkers = $8,160 back to Team Jefferson!

It is time for the 2022-23 Jog-a-thon Logo design contest! This contest is for 5th graders only. The winning logo will be used on Jog-a-thon banners, communications and t-shirts.

DUE DATE: MONDAY, OCTOBER 10TH

INSTRUCTIONS: Students can also use any blank 8.5x11 sheet of paper.

1) Include the words “Jefferson Elementary” and “2022 Jog-A-Thon” in the design.

2) Must be hand-drawn with black marker only (no colors), fit on one page and be clear and legible.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee

Yom Kippur - the Day of Atonement—is considered the most important holiday in the Jewish faith. Falling in the month of Tishrei (September or October in the Gregorian calendar), it marks the culmination of the 10 Days of Awe, a period of introspection and repentance that follows Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. The holiday is observed with a 25-hour fast and a special religious service. Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah are known as Judaism’s “High Holy Days.” Yom Kippur 2022 begins on the evening of Tuesday, October 4 and ends on the evening of Wednesday, October 5.

National Hispanic Heritage Awareness Month – National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15^th – October 15^th to promote the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic-Americans — specifically, those whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Communities mark the achievements of Hispanic and Latino Americans with festivals and educational activities. This year's theme is: "Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation."
