Pumpkin harvest at the Farm School

Happy Trails to a Wonderful Tractor

BFS said goodbye to its resident Allis-Chalmers tractor. Six years ago, BFS original farmer Milos bought the tractor at the former Johannis Farm in Barrington to plow overgrown fields at BFS. Our regenerative farming practices reduced the need for the sturdy tractor, and on Friday it moved to its new home at Gather Farm in Johnston. Thank you, Milos, for restoring and bringing this historic tractor to BFS.

St. Luke's School at BFS

This week, volunteers from St. Luke's middle school joined BFS for a morning of service. Volunteers planted radishes and spread compost. The St. Luke's group did some excellent work and we hope to have them back soon.

Harvest Club

Join us Fridays from 4-6 p.m. for Harvest Club. As the seasons change, we have lots of fall produce to bring in, and we can't wait to join you in the rows and at the washing station each week.

Squash at the Farm Stand

It's squash and pumpkin season! Last week, volunteers carried out a super successful pumpkin harvest, and this week, we have lots of squash headed to the farm stand. BFS's farm stand is open Saturdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m.- noon. The produce is all organically farmed, and we hope you'll stop by to pick up some seasonal vegetables.
