Each week we share information with you to support you with your child and to let you know about opportunities to support all of our children.
This week, we share more information and resources about suicide awareness and prevention. We know it can be difficult to talk about suicide with our children, but those conversations are essential and can be life-saving for our children or other children they know. We encourage you to take some time to talk with your child about suicide.
From a policy perspective, we share information on upcoming hearings on early childhood and the needs of young families. No one knows the needs of those families better than the families themselves. We encourage you to give input into these hearings and attend them in person or virtually. The first one is on September 27.
We share more highlights from the most recent monitoring report from the U.S. vs. Mississippi mental health lawsuit and possible implications and opportunities for the children's system of care.
The Mississippi Autism Advisory Committee meets on September 27 at 10:00 a.m. CDT and our Leadership Coaching and Policy Discussion is on September 28 from noon to 1:00 p.m. CDT. Our Parent Peer Support Conversation for Anyone working with Parent Peer Supporters is on September 29 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. CDT.
