Ava Rabinowitz's Bat Mitzvah Project!
“Hi, I’m Ava Rabinowitz, and for my Bat Mitzvah project, I decided to partner with the Donate2Dance, an organization that helps provide dance equipment to communities in need.

"Dance has been an important part of my life and I would like to help other young dancers have the best dance experience possible regardless of their means.

"I will collect new/lightly used costumes and dance wear. Dance wear includes: dance shoes, leotards, and tights. I will be donating what I collect to dancers who don’t have access to proper equipment. Please donate costumes or shoes if you can, but if you do not have items to donate you can instead make a monetary donation that I will use to purchase supplies.”

A special box will be available at TBC through September for donating dance items; monetary donations may be made using the TBC donation form for the Social Action / Tzedakah fund with an indication that it's for Ava Rabinowitz's bat mitzvah project.

ABC LOOKING FOR HOST FAMILY CANDIDATES

A Better Chance of Wilton (www.abcwilton.org) brings academically talented minority students from inner city neighborhoods to Wilton so that they can attend Wilton High School and receive a better education than their regional high school would allow. As part of this program, A Better Chance is seeking candidates to become host families for a female scholar. In this role, the host family is paired with the scholar and welcomes the scholar into their home each Sunday (and once a month from Friday evening to Sunday evening) to enable the scholar to take a break from living in the program’s residential housing and to provide the scholar with the opportunity to become more integrated into the Wilton community. If you have any interest in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Mike McGroarty at (203)394-2401 or Mark Logan at (203)984-0484."
Share Your Simcha! TBC congregants are invited to share news of their family events and celebrations in Chailites. Please send your information to chailites@templebnaichaim.org.
Be a Teen Madrich at TBC!

Cantor Harriet & Morah Ellie are looking for a few more teens to join the Madrichim Program next year. Madrichim work with our Religious School teachers in the classroom during Sunday Mornings from 9:30am-11:30am. The program includes 6 Training Workshops which will take place on the following Sundays (9/18, 10/16, 11/13, 12/11, 1/22 & 2/26) from 11:45am-1pm after Religious School in our newly established Teen Lounge with Morah Ellie. All hours spent working in the Madrichim Program count for any required or desired Community Service and all students will receive a formal letter at the end of the year!

Please contact Morah Ellie (please link my email address to my name) for more information or if you have any questions.

To register for the Madrichim Program, please submit the 2022-2023 Religious School Registration Form.

It is traditional to light a memorial candle at home on the eve of the yahrzeit. You may also find it meaningful while kindling the yahrzeit candle to offer prayers of remembrance or reflect on your loved one’s life. Many also choose this time to make monetary donations in memory of loved ones
