THE BOSTON FOUNDATION:

AAPI-OWNED BUSINESSES SURVEY

I'm reaching out to give an update on the progress of our AAPI-owned business survey. We are about half way through and have 125 responses, and our goal is to get to at least 300 (but ideally 500) before the survey concludes in early December.

22% of respondents identify as Chinese, 13% identify as Vietnamese, 13% identify as Indian, about 12% identify as Korean, and 11% identify as Cambodian. 10 people have taken the survey in Chinese, 10 in Vietnamese, and 1 in Khmer. We're trying to make a push to get to more non-English speakers. We'd like to ask for your help in getting the survey out to additional businesses so we can capture as many Asian-owned businesses as possible.

The survey should take about 15-20 minutes to complete and will remain open until December 11, 2023. The survey is available in four languages:

ASIAN OUTREACH CENTER:

LANGUAGE BARRIERS IN THE COURTS

We also have a survey to capture people’s experiences with language barriers in the courts. The survey can be completed by lawyer or non-lawyer advocates for LEP litigants. Currently the survey is only available in English, but we are working on translating the survey. Would you be able to share the survey?
