Thank You

to Our

Summer Program Partners!

Community programs from Harwich to Provincetown help make Food 4 Kids a success summer in, summer out!  This past summer 16 different programs served 43,756 meals (not counting seconds): 1,827 breakfasts, 22,446 snacks, and 19,483 lunches. We were serving lunch to 592 children, on average, each day in July when all programs were running - 62 more children/day than last year! These community programs share our mission to provide free meals to all children each summer, and most have been with us since our first few summers.

And always, a very special THANKS to their staffs. They and the programs they provide are the reason the kids gather on summer days. And they are often the people responsible for handing out meals and carefully following all guidelines and completing all paperwork that only a government funded program would require!

(Our featured "Thank You" comes to us from the kids of the Harwich Recreation program.)

Summer food sites that provide a place for children to socialize, learn, and be engaged while receiving a healthy meal help overcome both summer hunger and summer learning loss, in addition to fostering social and emotional learning.
