Thanks to the passing of FD&C Section 505 (a), 801 (a) (3) UNAPPROVED NEW DRUG in September - I am no longer able to purchase Gerovital GH3. The FDA intercepted my last shipment at customs in Miami and sent formal notification to me. I have tried to purchase it in this country yesterday, but it is unavailable everywhere. For a product that was formulated in the 1940's with 57 pages of dozens of scientific studies over the years, this is certainly not a "new drug."
You will remember I talked about this pending legislation back in July. The FDA's effort to limit access to health-promoting products and Big Pharma's effort to further control the supplement industry; well, it apparently passed. However, the reason GH3 comes under such scrutiny is the presence of what literally is a "drug" - procaine HCl. I do not expect this to affect supplements equally across the board. I am not having trouble getting anything else, so don't panic.
I am working on an alternative solution to GH3 using DMAE & PABA based on information I found by Dean Ward, MD, last night. It should work essentially the same. I will let you know when I have that worked out.
Still, this is unbelievable and a clear violation of our health freedoms. I think most people have no idea this happened, and we need to contact our legislators in protest demanding a reversal. The more power they take, the hungrier they become for more. I'll be talking about this Saturday.
