Dear Families of the MS 104 Community:
Happy Halloween! I hope everyone's day is going well. On Friday, we held our BOO-RUCH Halloween Party for our students. The event was a huge success and a ton of fun was had by all. I want to thank all of the parent volunteers that gave their time to help with set up, supervision of activity sessions, and break down of the event. The event could not have happened without you all. As I have stated before, contributions of time to the school and its events are extremely valuable and we thank those of you who give of your time to be here to ensure our events are successful.
As previously announced, our Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held this week on Thursday, November 3rd and Friday, November 4th. Our Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled differently than the dates listed on the DOE citywide calendar. We arrange our conference dates in a way that better aligns with our marking period schedule for the school year. The dates of our conferences allow for ample time for students to make improvements before the marking periods end. Please see the details below for specific information on the structure of the conferences, as well as how to register for conferences and where to find zoom links for each of your scheduled meetings.

Parent Teacher Conferences Sign Up Goes Live Monday, 10/24!
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on the following dates:
Thursday, November 3rd- 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Friday, November 4th- 12:20 PM to 2:40 PM (*this is a HALF DAY for students. All students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM)
Tuesday, November 15th- 7:45 AM-8:20 AM
Please be reminded that Parent Teacher Conferences will be VIRTUAL as per the DOE labor policy.
Beginning Monday, October 24th at noon, families will be able to register for parent teacher conferences and locate the Zoom links for your conferences using this LINK. On the left hand side of the form, you will find the links needed to register for the conferences. On the right hand side, you will find the Zoom links for the conferences to be used at the time of your meetings.
House teams are listed as one link, while math and elective teachers have individual links. Please be sure that you are aware of your child's teachers names when registering and searching for the appropriate Zoom links.
Please read the information below before registering for your conferences:
Families will sign up for ONE time slot that will allow them to meet for 3-4 minutes EACH with their child's ELA, Social Studies, and Science teacher. For example if you sign up for a 4:30 PM time slot with House 40, your meeting will begin with Ms. Kim, then after 3-4 minutes you will be transferred to Ms. D'Andrea, and then after 3-4 minutes you will be transferred to Ms. Fraser and Mr. Gofur.
Math teachers in houses 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 will have their own time slot sign ups.
Elective teachers will have their own sign up time slots.
Our parent coordinator Ms. Rivera will be available to support families if needed.
Chancellor's Regulations A-831 and A-832 and Mandated Student Trainings
MS 104 is committed to providing a safe and inclusive school environment that allows all students to feel comfortable, respected, valued and seen. As part of this commitment, all students have received the mandatory training regarding two important Chancellor's Regulations:
A-831- Student to Student Sexual Harassment- to find the regulation please click here.

These regulations provide information on what constitutes these behaviors and the process for reporting and investigating allegations regarding these behaviors. Parents are encouraged to review these regulations and familiarize themselves with them.
Our school's Student to Student Sexual Harassment and Respect for All liaisons are John Sabo and Laura Ng. Any incident that involves student to student sexual harassment, discrimination, harassment, intimidation and/or bullying should be reported immediately to Mr. Sabo and/or Ms. Ng. We are excited to host our ADULTS ONLY 80s Dance on Friday, November 18th at 7:00 PM here at the school. There will be dancing, beverages, and light snacks. It's sure to be a RAD time!

Estimadas familias de la comunidad MS 104:
¡Feliz Halloween! Espero que el día de todos esté yendo bien. El viernes, llevamos a cabo nuestra Fiesta de Halloween BOO-Ruch para nuestros estudiantes. El evento fue un gran éxito y todos se divirtieron muchísimo. Quiero agradecer a todos los padres voluntarios que dieron su tiempo para ayudar con la organización, la supervisión de las sesiones de actividades y el desglose del evento. El evento no podría haber ocurrido sin todos ustedes.
