The City of Cincinnati’s Office of Environment and Sustainability (OES) is excited to announce a new role - Community Compost & Food Waste Reduction Coordinator! This position will lead community composting efforts from August 2024 through May 2026 thanks to a grant from the US Department of Agriculture. Food waste is a big contributor to greenhouse gas emissions locally. Help to reduce our emissions and build a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient Cincinnati. If you or someone you know would like to play a key role in the City’s effort to reduce food loss and waste, then consider applying and share widely! 

OES seeks a professional with experience in environmental efforts and composting. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, self-motivated, dependable, mission-driven, and positive team player as they will be supporting the execution of key grant deliverables in a fast-paced environment. This position will be 32 hours/week throughout the 2-year grant period and the pay range is between $25-$27/hour. Learn more about the role and application process here.
