Name: Eunice Flores

(she/her/ella)

Assistant Director

Being a proud first-generation and commuter student myself, I am driven to support SDSU students with similar journeys. I take pride in understanding their unique challenges and stories. Collaborating with commuter students is fulfilling, especially when I witness their hard work and resilience. The coolest moments are when students figure out what they're capable of and go after opportunities that push them closer to their personal and career goals.

Name: Heather LaPerle

(she/her/hers)

General Advisor & Retention Specialist

There are so many highs, lows, and everything in between during college and it all leads a student to discover so much about themselves and others and it is an honor to be there for students to celebrate that.

Name: Sarah Mercado

(she/her/hers)

There are many things I love about working with students, but my favorite thing is the passion they bring with them to school every day and being able to see that passion continue to flourish beyond graduation.

Name: Bri Voss

(she/her/hers)

Assistant Coordinator

I love seeing SDSU students be passionate about their future careers or get excited about their successes. Knowing that we get to be a part of those is always a win.

Sharon Burnett

she/her/hers

Major: Child and Family Development

Hi Commuters, meet Sharon! Sharon is one of our transfer mentors here in the Center for Commuter Life who is majoring in Child and Family Development. Sharon is in her last semester here at SDSU and will be graduating in May! As a fellow commuter student, Sharon commutes to campus by carpooling with her best friend Jordan, who is also a transfer mentor in the Center for Commuter Life. Sharon's favorite spot to be on campus are the tables outside of the Charles B. Bell Jr. Pavilion where she likes to get her schoolwork done and relax. A fun fact about Sharon is that she played the French horn for 6 years; 2 years in middle school and all 4 years of high school in marching band. However good she might have been, she really wanted to be playing the flute instead. One piece of advice Sharon has for you all is that "you should always work hard in school, but don't take yourself too seriously. Always make time to have fun when you can!"
