CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNOUNCES 2024 TRIP TO TUSCANY

C I Destinations, in partnership with the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce, presents an International trip to Tuscany / One Hotel Holiday, departing October 15, 2024.

Tuscany is the most popular region in Italy. Tuscany offers its numerous visitors the best of all things Italian starting with fine art. The capital, Florence, is considered the cradle of renaissance, and now one of the richest cities of art and culture. Tuscany is famous for its world-class art collections, charming medieval hill towns, and sweeping hillsides full of vineyards. Tuscany is where you have to go if you want to stand in a room full of Botticelli paintings or gaze upon Michelangelo’s “David”. You can’t find the home of Chianti wine or the town that produced “Under the Tuscan Sun” anywhere else. The region’s hill towns will provide a beautiful backdrop for the perfect Tuscan holiday you’ve always dreamed of experiencing.

The cost is $3,499 per person (save $100 register by March 31, 2024), the deposit is $450 per traveler. This cost includes airfare, seven nights of hotel accommodations at 4-star hotels, 10 meals (seven breakfasts, three dinners), sightseeing and admissions per itinerary, and a professional tour manager.

We are also offering a two night Rome extention on this trip for an additional $599. Details below.

To register for the trip, call the DPC Chamber at 434.836.6990 or email chamber@dpchamber.org.

CHAMBER TEAM ATTENDS CHAMBER DAY AT THE CAPITOL

The Chamber's annual trip to Richmond for Chamber Day at the Capitol with the Virginia Chamber of Commerce started with a reception at Hunton, Andrews, Kurth for our 35 Leadership Southside participants. Participants had the opportunity to meet and network with local elected officials and Richmond leaders. Thank you to Mountain Valley Pipeline and Maurice Royster for sponsoring such a wonderful reception.

Pictured below is President and CEO Anne Moore-Sparks with Todd Haymore with Hunton, Andrews, Kurth. A native of the region, Haymore previously served as Secretary of Commerce and Trade and Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry. A special thanks to Eric Phillips, the newly elected delegate for Pittsylvania County for stopping by as well as Renee Haltom and Sonya Waddell, our good friends at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond!

A special thank you to Rachel Covington, our Leadership Southside consultant, for curating such a meaningful trip for our participants.

One of the highlights from the Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Day at the Capitol was impassioned speaches by Gov. Glenn Youngkin, Lt. Gov. Winsom Earle-Sears, and Speaker of the House Don Scott.

They each spoke about priorities for the upcoming session and the importance of supporting business in the Commonwealth.

The Chamber is the premier advocate for businesses in the region. Advocating on your behalf in Richmond on issues that are important to you is a priority: workforce, education, housing, childcare, transportation, and healthcare. View our Legislative Agenda at the link below.
