From the Desk of Mr. Marty Van Hulle, Principal
SAL Parents:
We’re back - what a crazy weather week that was – and continues to be! I hope everyone safely navigated the snow and are successfully enduring the current arctic blast.
While January is the longest month of the year, it nonetheless rapidly moving along. In just 2 weeks we host our annual Open House with the event kicking off Catholic Schools Week and looking ahead, the Signature Event, "We Are Family," is taking place on Friday, February 23 at the Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee. Please consider this an open invitation to register for and attend the event at www.stanthony.cc/signature-event. You can avoid the price increase (from $150 to $200) by registering prior to January 31.
Please know that the Signature Event is our ONE major fundraiser for the year and for the school, helps support: tuition assistance, classroom materials, technology upgrades, sacramental preparation support, and importantly, staff salary increases. Additionally, our very own, Mrs. Anderson will be receiving the Profiles in Faith Award for her countless contributions to our school and faith community. Donations are still being accepted and Father Tony asked that I remind folks that there is still time to be a sponsor for the event. We hope to see you there!
And finally, given the craziness that was the weather this past week, we will be keeping the Parent Survey activated until midnight tonight. A reminder that an out-of-uniform day is permitted on Friday for those families who have completed the survey. In honor of the big Packers’ win this past weekend, we are encouraging our “out-of-uniform’ers” to dress in Packer gear. At the time of this newsletter, 103 families have participated in the survey – thank you for your feedback! Here is the link for those still wanting to complete the survey: https://milwaukee.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1SnreT8c0MQ6Le6
Stay warm and God bless,
M. Van Hulle
Principal, SAL

Registration 2024-25
This year, we are asking families to register for the 24-25 school year online. Last Friday, an email was sent out with the link to register and additional instructions. We ask that families turn in their registration fee ($150 per student) to the school office via check or cash. An envelope went home with oldest or only to turn in payment last week. The envelope included a copy of the proposed 24-25 tuition fee document (to keep) and the 2023 registration fee tax letter. If there are any questions, please feel free to reach out to the office.
Tax Document 2023
The 2023 registration tax document from the school office was sent home last week. More details to follow regarding how to access your 2023 tuition and EDC payments via Wordware.
Cereal Food Drive
Catholic Schools Week 2024 is fast approaching, and this year’s outreach project is a cereal drive. Cereal is an item that food pantries need and can easily distribute. We are asking students and staff to bring boxes of unexpired whole grain cereal that is low in sugar. Please avoid cereal with surgary marshmallows or chocolate coating. Our goal is 500 boxes of cereal by Thursday, February 1, so we suggest that each student and staff member bring 2 or more boxes of cereal.
Thank you for considering this outreach opportunity.
