Don’t Let the Summer Heat Overpower Your Electric Bill
Summer is getting hotter and hotter. That means the temps are higher – but that doesn’t mean your electric bill has to rise, too. Here are some tips to reduce your energy use & keep your electric bill low.
Your Vote Matters

In early July, the Proxy Designation Form was delivered by U.S. Mail to all REC member-owners as a separately mailed document. You can submit your proxy online in MyREC SmartHub or by returning it by mail. All proxies must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Aug. 3, 2022 to be valid.
Power Your Ride with Vividly Brighter Charging

Up to 200 electric vehicle owners now have the opportunity to enroll in an incentive rate encouraging them to charge during off-peak hours for a rebate. Learn more - and find helpful electric vehicle resources - on REC's website.
Stay Back and Stay Safe

Summer storms can sometimes bring down power lines in the road or on your property. Never approach a downed power line or attempt to move it. Always assume a downed power line is energized, and call 911 and REC at 800-552-3904.
REC's office lobbies are open by appointment or for walk-up visits from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. To schedule an appointment please visit myrec.coop/appointments
